Inland Revenue hits Jade Goody's estate with a £1 million tax bill… that could leave her little boys with nothing

Jade Goody’s two little boys could be left without their £1 million inheritance if reports that her estate is facing bankruptcy are true.
According to The Sun, Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs are asking for the six figure tax bill that would wipe out the money Jade – who died of cervical cancer aged 27 in 2009 – had set aside for Bobby Jack, nine, and Freddie, eight.
Trustees for Goody's two kids – who now live with their TV presenter dad Jeff Brazier, 33 – have reportedly called the Inland Revenue's actions 'heartless'.
Facing bankruptcy: Jade Goody's estate could be wiped out thanks to £1 million tax bill, according to The Sun
Photographer Danny Hayward, who was named as an executor of her will, told the newspaper: 'Jade was determined to give the boys the education she never had.
'We’ve paid their private school fees to the end of the year but we can’t after that. Jade would be heartbroken.'
It’s a truly shocking decision.' Hayward continued. 'But we intend to appeal and fight to the end in true Jade-style to
fulfil her last wishes for the boys, no matter how long it may take.'
Empty handed: Her son's inheritance would be completely loss if the HRMC go ahead with their plans to claim the money
Legacy: Jade died from cervical cancer in 2009, leaving her boys £1 million
Dad's little men: Boby, nine and Freddie, eight now live with their father Jeff Brazier
The Sun allege that the reality TV star earned £2.2 million between 2006-2010, a sum which decreased to £1,034,426 after living expenses were taken off, and a further £600,000 for mortgage and car payments, funeral costs and miscellaneous fees.
Initially, the paper claim HMRC officials only asked for £566,000 in tax, but that amount was allegedly raised to £1,035,902 — after declaring the business expenses and losses on her Ugly’s beauty salon in Harlow, Essex, would not qualify for tax relief.
As well, The Sun state that the £48,000 Jade gave to cancer and anti-bullying groups would not fit the tax relief criteria as they were contributions made at charity auctions.
Wedding expenses from her marriage to Jack Tweed a month before he death were also categorised as personal, therefore they did not qualify for allowance.
Additionally, the bill has allegedly generated £119,000 in interest alone, which The Sun say has forced Jade's trustees to sell her three Essex homes.
Although, the paper suggests it still may not clear the tax debt and bring Goody's estate back from the brink of bankruptcy.
According to HMRC official guidelines: 'press officers are bound by the rules of confidentiality and are expressly forbidden – in common with all HMRC staff – from discussing details of individual taxpayers.'
Mail Online contacted Jade Goody's estate for comment.
Lost: All the efforts Jade made in her final months to leave her boys with financial security could have been for nothing
