He plays the Incredible Hulk in his new film, Avengers Assemble, and it seems Mark Ruffalo has the kind of arm muscles that befit a superhero.
The 43-year-old did a combination of Pilates, taekwondo and gymnastics to get into what he calls ‘superhero shape’.

‘They want me mean and lean; they don’t want me big and buff,’ he says.
Hold a pair of dumbbells or water bottles (one in each hand).
Lie on your back on a stability ball (like a Swiss ball, cut in half); position the ball under your mid-to-upper back with feet flat on the floor (your knees should be bent at 90 degrees and abdominal muscles pulled in tight).

Hold the weights by your chest with elbows bent and palms facing downward.
Then push them straight up in a slow and controlled way.
Lower the weights and repeat, using your abdominal muscles to keep your body still.
Repeat 12 to 15 times.
