A typical session includes pull‑ups on his children’s swing, followed by sprints in his back garden, up to 100 push-ups, one‑legged squats and kettlebell work in the driveway.
He then takes his road bike out for several miles.
TRY THIS: One of McConaughy’s favourite exercises is the ‘endurance weight challenge’.
Try it by picking up a 3lb to 5lb dumbbell or weighty object and holding it for 15 minutes, changing position regularly.

Shift the weight from high above your head with both arms, to just your right arm, then your left arm, then rest it on your shoulders, then your legs.
You can get a full-body workout just by finding as many positions as you can without having to put the weight down on the ground.
You also discover the stronger and weaker spots in your physique and can add tone to your torso.
Add more weight as you get stronger and fitter.
