Prince and Princess Michael of Kent proved yesterday that torrential rain and high winds won't get in the way of a royal night out. The couple braved the wintry weather to visit Lou Lou's Restaurant in London's Mayfair last night.
The private members club is a popular haunt with Pippa Middleton who has visited the restaurant three times in the last month – including choosing the exclusive venue as the place to celebrate the recent launch of her party guide book, Celebrate.
Princess Michael of Kent, 67 – whose name is Marie Christine – and her husband seemed to have enjoyed their visit as they left the premises with big smiles on their faces, despite stepping out into the inclement conditions.

Umbrellas were held over their heads to protect them from the driving rain as they walked to a waiting car to be driven home.
The princess wrapped up with a fur style shrug over a long black coat and black trousers and when a gust of wind blew her hair high up off her face, it had the unfortunate effect of making her look reminiscent of 101 Dalmatian's villain Cruella De Vil, as portrayed by Glenn Close in the live action Disney film.

Homeward bound: The couple had a short walk through the torrential rain to reach their car to be driven home

the fact she also wore a fur style shrug around her shoulders
Prince Michael, 70, who is the grandson of George V, had dressed much more brightly than his wife by wearing a navy pinstripe suit with a pink shirt and patterned tie.
Earlier this week, the couple welcomed author Leonie Frieda to Kensington Palace, where they live in a lavish rented apartment, to celebrate the launch of her latest historical novel The Deadly Sisterhood.
The occasion made the headlines after
the author, who is friends with the couple, made an impressively low
curtsy as she greeted the minor royals.
